Situated in basin of Poyang Lake along the middle range of Yangtse River,neighbored with six provinces as Zhejiang,Fujian,Guangdong,Hunan,Hubei and Anhui.Jiangxi has a total area about 170458 square kilometers.It belongs to the moist monsoon climate in the subtropics,and has four distinct seasons.Annual mean temperature is 16 ℃ to 19 ℃ .Mean temperature in January is 4 ℃ to 8 ℃ .Mean temperature in July is 28 ℃ to 30 ℃ .It has pleasantly cool climate in mountain area.In some places with beautiful landscapes and sceneries like Lu Mountain and Jinggang Mountain,daily temperature in midsummer is usually less than 26 ℃ .Jiangxi has plenty of rainfall.Annual mean rainfall is 1400 to 2400 millimeters,and rainy season concentrate on April to July.Sometimes Jiangxi is influenced by Typhoon during summer and autumn.The main weather disasters happened in Jiangxi are continuous torrential rainstorm,drought in Summer and Autumn,continuous high temperature,thunderstorm,hailstone,strong wind in thunderstorm,freezing from cold wave etc.
